My son! My daughter!
2 Timothy 2:1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
♬ Hymn for scheduled worship: Korean/English Hymnal #320 How I Praise Thee, Precious Savior (#350 in previous version)
If we know the Gospel, our lives will change. We may face crises and face situations where it seems the only thing left to do is despair. However, if we realize the power of the Gospel by God’s grace, then our lives will change, and we will want to share about the power of the Gospel to other people. If we know the fact that Christ is the answer to all problems, then we will receive answers. The world will change the day Remnants who have this secret arise. That’s why the Remnants must prepare for the future. They must have the greatest sense of specialty in their field, and take responsibility for a certain region and country. This is why we must remember these three things.
1. We must not fall into despair no matter what the situation
We must never give up. We must get up again. No matter what the circumstance, we must not fall into despair. Although problems will continue to come to those who have the Gospel, we have no reason to fear. Instead, we should be bold because God is with us.
2. We must embrace Christ within our hearts
What is within our hearts? We should study well but that shouldn’t be what is in our hearts. We must be successful but success is not what we should have in our hearts. We have to place Christ into our hearts. We must overcome the crises and hardships that come our way. No matter how great the things of this world may seem, we cannot overcome our crises, problems and hardships with them. We should not place those things in our hearts. We will conquer the world if we place Christ in our hearts.
3. We must prepare to survive on our own
We must be able to survive on our own, like the 7 Remnants in the Bible. Joseph became a slave and went to prison but he still managed to survive. Thousands of soldiers chased after David to kill him but he still managed to survive. In order to survive on our own, we must have a time that we spend alone with God. Even if it’s just for one minute, we must hold onto the Word and pray. Since God is always with us, we must not be deceived by our surroundings or its atmosphere, but survive instead. We must discover the greatest grace and enjoy it within this. With this secret, the Remnants will become a crown for their parents, the pride of the evangelists and the platform for future Remnants.
