 Knowing the theme of the Bible is the most important thing for Christians. To know the greatest theme of the Bible, the Gospel, is to know the spiritual reality of things. What is the real meaning behind today’s Scripture reading, the first of the Ten Commandments that God gave?




1. Do not face destruction!
 What are ‘other gods’ referring to? It means Satan. Worshiping objects is idolatry and following after men is religion. Satan exists even now and is planting the seeds of the kingdom of darkness. Those who serve Satan won’t be able to escape destruction in the end. Within the simple covenant of ‘You shall have no other gods before me,’ lies one’s fate, future and the true start down the path to eternal life.





2. Receive true answers!
 The Bible clearly reveals that the problems of the world are part of Satan’s strategy. Moreover, Satan is leading people, societies and nations into the path of destruction even now (Genesis 3, 6, 11). The Holy Spirit works upon those who understand the Gospel. Therefore, the spiritual realm is moved when we pray. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is the greatest blessing. We can bind the forces of darkness and Satan in the name of Jesus Christ. Christians who are aware of this truth evangelize, which is the act of saving God’s lost and dying people. Knowing the spiritual reality and gaining spiritual strength to receive true answers is the most important thing for Christians.





3. Inscribe it on the stone tablet!
 This covenant is not something that changes because things go well or don’t go well. We must make it into evidence for ourselves. It is the foundation of faith that we must correctly engrave in our hearts. The Gospel is deeply engraved in the hearts of God’s children, who do not waver. In addition, they are not swayed because of other people’s words or their circumstances. Instead, they give life to people and save those around them, as well as themselves, by the filling of the Gospel that comes from God. By making actual use of the power of the name of Jesus Christ, we are building the platforms that turn problems into blessings. People of faith who resolve to serve God alone will experience His power.
