God’s servant



Rom 6:15~23 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. (17-18)

 Today’s passage mentions the word ‘slave.’ Slaves are not workers but people under slavery. They can’t express their own opinions nor assert themselves. It all depends on their master. If you are slaves to sin you are ruled by sin. We must be freed from this. We have been freed from sin and are now slaves to righteousness. Remnants must firmly hold on to this covenant. God freed us from our sins, made us His servants and allowed us to be bear fruits leading us to holiness. There are certain things Remnants must remember.




1. God made us righteous
 God sent Christ to save us. According to God’s righteousness, we have been freed from the status of slaves; we are no longer slaves to sin. We have been liberated from disasters and the power of Satan. By God’s grace, we have become saved children of God.




2. Remnants must have an organized lifestyle
 Because Remnants have received God’s great grace, they will receive great answers if they organize their answers. We must organize our time well. The majority of people afflicted with spiritual problems have an unorganized lifestyle. Our lives are determined by who it is we are obedient to. That is why Remnants must choose to obey God. We must restrain ourselves and offer our bodies as weapons for righteousness. We must pay attention to how we manage our time and who we meet with. It is important to have an early start in the morning, not just getting up at an early hour. We must seek the greatest happiness when we are alone.




3. Becoming God’s servant
 If we are slaves to sin, sin has control over us. If we are servants of God, righteousness rules over us. Remnants must reach this level. When God’s righteousness and blessings dominate Remnants, they will be able to enjoy the blessings of prayer, evangelism and the Word taking place in their lives.
