Challenge against Church Dependency
Acts 11:19~30 │ Now those who were scattered because of the
persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and
Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews. (19)
Within the background of Martin Luther’s Religious
Reformation, there was the devotion of those who realistically
held onto the finances of the region. The church officers of
the Bible saved the churches that were in the midst of crises.
They placed the church as their first priority and staked
everything they owned. What were the answers that they
received? In today’s age where the churches of the world are
closing their doors, what kind of challenge must you make?
1. The Frames of Faith
The Israelites had incorrect frames and believed that
Jehovah God was the God of Israel alone. The Messiah would
come to conquer all nations on behalf of the Israelites who
were the chosen ones. They thoroughly held to the Sabbath,
religious legalism, and the temple. Fortunately, the church
officers of the Early Church completely destroyed those
frames. They gathered together, prayed, dispersed
throughout the entire world, relayed the Gospel, and raised
churches that did missions.Acts 1:14, 2:9~11, and 11:19
2. The Frames of Life
There were times when the believers of the Early Church
faced near-death situations after believing in Christ. Even still,
they gathered at Mark’s upper room as they held onto
the covenant of Calvary and the Mt. of Olives because they knew
the blessings of the church. Those church officers raised the
Antioch Church, commissioned out missionaries, and relayed
the Gospel to Rome. The church officers who knew the
reason and content to save the church changed the world.
After some church officers arose, three thousand more
disciples arose,Acts 2:41 and the multiethnic movement began.
Acts 11:19~30 It was God who raised disciples all over the world.
Romans 16:1~27 Even now disciples throughout the world have
been prepared. Therefore, this is the reason for church
officers
to accurately challenge against the entire world.
