The First Mission: Do Not Be Deceived
1 Kings 18:1~15│And Ahab called Obadiah, who wasover the household. (Now Obadiah feared theLordgreatly, (3)
Even before the evil King Ahab, Obadiah did what God desired.1 Kings 18:8 Because Obadiah knew why Israel was destroyed, he staked his life and protected the prophets. What is the first mission that you must hold onto in order to safeguard your spiritual state in your daily life; find the answers through Christ; and triumph in the spiritual battle?
1. Hold onto the Answers That Were First Given by God
Before God raised Moses, He first gave answers to Jochebed who was Moses’ mother; Jethro who was Moses’ father-in-law; and Rahab who was a prostitute. Again, God first answered Hannah who prayed for a Nazarite and Jesse who gave an errand to his son David before answering young Samuel and the young shepherd David. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and the church officers of the Early Church also held onto the God-given covenant of Christ even when confronted with death.
2. Enjoy the Answers of the Gospel and Follow the Fulfillment of the Word
Christ is your Savior; God’s Kingdom comes upon all the fields you go; and the Holy Spirit works at all times in all places. There is only one method along the Covenant Journey that saves all people whom nobody else can save. You must not be deceived by Satan and fall into unbelief. As evidence of this, the Early Church followed the fulfillment of the Word that took place at Mark's upper room,Act 1:14 and 2:9~11 Samaria, and to the end of the earth. The churches of the world, including those in the United States and South Korea, are closing their doors. This is Satan’s undeniable strategy. You must not be deceived by great and astonishing answers and fall into unbelief. Even if the Word seems lacking, you must still follow it. If you hold onto God's covenant as your mission, the answer of “never before and never again” will start.
